Lankagama Duwili Ella Falls
The Lankagama Duwili Falls near Galle is the last of a series of magnificent cataracts on a steep 1km stretch of the Hariyawa stream, which cascades through some of the most inaccessible forests in the region.
Apart from its stunning beauty, the base of the 23m waterfall conceals a hidden cave measuring 2m in height and 4m, which, according to legend, served as a hiding place for religious fugitives.
This is a great opportunity to see some of Sri Lanka’s beautiful landscapes and their plant and wildlife up close. It’s a bit of a trek, but worth it!
