Chillaw Sri Lanka

Chilaw is a big town, in Puttalam District, North Western Province, Sri Lanka. It's governed by an urban council.

Munneswaram Temple at Chillaw, is a complex of five temples, including Buddhist and Hindu holy places of worship. The central temple dedicated to Shiva (Siva), and is the most prestigious, biggest, and most popular amongst Hindus. The other temples are dedicated to Ganesha, Ayyanayake and Kali, the latter also being popular with Buddhists, and all are well worth a visit.
